🛡️ The TCPA in one breath. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) is a federal law that gives consumers the right to sue over unwanted calls and texts. Damages run $500–$1,500 per violation, per call, per text. There are law firms whose entire business model is sending people out trying to bait reps into messing up — one bad call becomes a class action. The rules below aren't bureaucracy. They're the difference between us staying in business and not.

Two Lenses on Every Call

Think of every call you make through two lenses at the same time:

Lens 1 — Sales: Can I book this appointment?
Lens 2 — Litigation: If this person records me, screenshots the text, and walks into a TCPA attorney's office tomorrow, does anything I said or did expose the company?

You don't have to be paranoid. You just have to follow the protocol. The protocol exists precisely so you don't have to think about the legal side in the moment — if you do it the same way every time, you're protected.

The core idea: we are not trying to "get away" with anything. We are a legitimate business calling about a legitimate offer. The rules in the next lessons exist to prove that — in writing, on tape, and in our CRM — for every single call.
